It's Alright To Get Crabby For A Few Hours

Last weekend The Man About The House and I were able to spend a few days in Savannah, GA and celebrate 10 years of marriage. We both commented on our need to rediscover the other, and bring that Savannah person back to Sarasota. It's not that "the honeymoon is over", it's been more like "the week before the wedding" lately. Anyone who's been married longer than 7 years understands. My mother and her husband do not count. They just celebrated their 4th. (congratulations again, by the way)

I love this clip because it shows we are NORMAL! In fact, of the past ten years, this season of busy-ness, tears, laughter, hurts, forgiveness, healings...all of it has been my favorite. It shows what we're made of. We've grown and been stretched individually and also as a couple.

It reminds me of a line in the movie A League Of Their Own when Tom Hanks' character tells Geena Davis', "
It's supposed to be hard. If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard... is what makes it great."

Amen, sister.

The couple in the video is terrific. And so are you two.
