Farewell Week Has Begun

Well, we have one full week left with Emma at home before taking her to Hope College...

As one of two music scholarship recipients from the church where Garland is on staff, The Church of The Redeemer, Emma will be singing periodically when home for visits. This morning was her first time, and we thought we'd share--

Here is Aaron Copeland's "At The River"

Emma and her Mom -- You didn't tell me this was part of your Sun. a.m. schedule!! I sure would have loved to have been in the audience, listening in person. What a wonderful job, Emma.....I'm such a proud grandma!

Enjoy the last few days before your long trek northward, Emma -- let's hope we can connect at some point while you and Katy are "doing your thing."

Love you,
Grandma

A great benefit of church is music and the opportunity to discover your talents. How many famous singers got their start singing in church and high school? More than 7 I think! Nice work Emma!

It's a real treat for me as well, Shari. Thanks for sharing this! And I trust you've had a good last week with her!!

Ruth-Well, with just a short drive you might have more opportunities than me to hear her in the upcoming 4 years!
Mom-Yes, she did a great job!
Don/Ginnie-The setting of this church is great! It's downtown on the bay, and the acoustics are unmatched in town. Emma wasn't mic'd at all, and Garland took the footage from the balcony!
