Remembrances and Reunions

This past weekend was bittersweet. I think the photos speak for themselves, but I will add that the most rewarding part for me was to have my family spend time with my Dad's side for the first time in their memory. I grew up with wonderful Carlson Family times, and at last Garland, Katy, Emma, and Laura understand who these special people are. They think they're special, too!

Dad should have been here.

Enjoy the photo anthology...

I know this is therapeutic for you, Shari, to have these photos "out there" for all of us to see. I'm sure putting it together has brought healing. Thank you for doing this for yourself and for us!

What a beautiful tribute, Shari -- I'm so very proud of what you've done with pics and words, including your remarks at the service. I pray that God is granting much healing within your spirit and being, as I'm sure these last 2 posts have helped to do.

I love you,
Mom

Life is probably starting to feel like it is getting back to normal. I hope you are feeling a sense of peace inside.

Thank you for your thoughts, and yes, it is good to put thoughts down and share pictures.

Actually, Don, life requires the "old" normal now, which has emphasized Dad's loss in a way. Over the past 6 weeks I was quite accustomed to making the twice daily calls up, trying to get responses from Dad, etc.

Yes, the spring activities keep coming. I'll be a little more upbeat soon... :)

Great photos! This is really wonderful. Wow, I remember Uncle John from that photo - and I'm thinking I last saw him at the wedding in 1965!

That last photo of Laura is so cute. And the girls are all the same height - or so - now. Wow.
